12/31/2023 0 Comments Powerselect 13645n doesnt fit subaruSwapping the 2001 CV end onto the 2006, but that's much more difficult and you might destroy your axle trying. you could check diff parts through online subaru website or a good local dealer and see if they changed or are the same.Ģ. If you then insert that 2001 stubby shaft into the 2001 axle it might then be identical to the 2006 axle and slide into the 2006 transmission if they didn't significantly change the front diff. stick a screw driver through the axle pin hole and pop on it with a hammer and it pops right out, just a circlip holds it in place. The 2001 stubby shaft just pulls right out of the transmission. Install the stubby shafts into the 2001 axle. Passenger side power seat also works as it. EDIT: Also, forgot to mention that other seat functions, works as it should, up, down, recline/etc. If anybody can shed some light thatd be very much appreciated. Possibilities (not sure this works but similar swaps have been done for conversions/etc):ġ. Actually, I have even replaced the motor w/ another known working one and it also doesnt work when plugged in and switched forward/back. Trans side - 06 has stubby shaft, 01 has receiver style and the stubby shafts are in the transmission. And won't it change track width and alignment since the axle and knuckle include the track width changes from 04 to 05 models?ĬV side - 06 has bolt on wheel bearings and different ABS, 01 has press in bearings. You could try installing it and splicing the wiring and hope the the signal and tone ring count are the same. Using a 2006 knuckle will render your ABS inoperative as the wheel speed sensors are different set ups. ( at least I didn't need radiator, just cracked plug, that will go back to Rock). Now Plug wires, front struts, brakes & rotors, Trans hoses to radiator, re-flush coolant, rear hub bearing, and a leaky top plug on radiator. Took 4 days in between cold weather and short sunlit days, but sounds great when I finally got it running! Follow steps 2-5 for additional garage door openers. Within 30 seconds get back into your vehicle and press and release the HomeLink® button you just programmed up to 3 times or until your garage door activates. I am thinking I saved $ 1500 since all the parts I bought, hoses, thermostat, thermostat housing, AC & Alt belt etc.was $500 at Rock Auto. Get a ladder and press and release the learn button on the back of your garage door motor head. I was quoted $1000 for the timing belt change and I know they would use even cheaper parts than Gates. I know I had to take out battery and air filter & housing etc, and needed universal joints and flex& bend ratchets etc., but really, $400-$600 for plugs at mechanic? I listen to a car radio show here in NY/NJ and a guy called and was quoted $600 to just change plugs on an OB. I researched and colder plugs are for hard, high rev driving, not the easy does it like I do, but I used them anyway. I chatted with Autolite if they were interchangeable. I had a set of plugs from my 2001 OB, Autolite 3923, for the 2009 it calls for 3924. Anyone see this before? Is it the valve cover gaskets leaking?īTW plugs looked so worn I think they were original. Plugs were covered in oil inside the plug well and the boots. While in there, according to Haynes manual, took out plugs to be easier to rotate engine. Still much more difficult than the U tube vids, getting the cog idler and last bottom lipped idler, but it worked. I know I emailed CarPlay2air and they said they are working on testing Subaru but it doesn't work yet. Nothing I did got my Outback to light up. I even loaded the latest firmware and some previous versions through a USB drive. tried again with Subaru belt and got it in. Mine came today and unfortunately I had the same results. I tried replacing my 2006 Outback 2.5s rear rotors today with Power Stop K4632-26 AND Autozone Duralast rear rotors. Went to dealer and got original Subaru belt, $86.16. Saw I could move right cam some to give me more slack.
